Today at 4:25 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-5) take on the New England Patriots (6-2) live from Gillette Stadium in New England. The game can be live streamed here. Pittsburgh fans can hear all of the hard-hitting action by turning their dials to WBGG-AM 970 while New England fans can do the same on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
The Patriots enter on top of the AFC East but look to be more consistent while the flailing Steelers are in need of a win but in order to do so they'll have to hand New England its first home loss of the season.
Despite their success, the Patriots haven't been as dominant as they have in seasons' past and quarterback Tom Brady has converted just 52.3 percent of his passes and has thrown four picks in the last four games.
"We're trying," Brady told ESPN. "There are a lot of things we can do better."
On the season, Brady is 171-for-307 (55.7%) for 1,824 yards with nine touchdowns and six interceptions.
The Pats are coming off of a 24-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins last week that kept their home record at a perfect 4-0. While Brady may not have to worry about getting sacked since the Steelers rank the second-worst in the league with 10, he still knows their defense brings a threat as its ranked fourth in the NFL.
"They have a good defense and the way we've been playing offensively, we can't be up and down like we've been," Brady said per ESPN. "We have to be more consistent. Hopefully this is our best week to be able to do that."
After dropping its first four games of the season, Pittsburgh rattled off a two-game winning streak before falling to the Oakland Raiders last week by a score of 21-18.
"Our record is our record," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "There's nothing that we can do about what has been played."
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will look to bounce back from a terrible start in Oakland that saw him go 29-for-45 and throw two picks compared to just one touchdown. On the season, Big Ben is 172-for-260 (66.2%) for 1,930 yards with eight scores and seven interceptions.
Both teams will be looking for fast starts and the Patriots will try to stay undefeated at home while the Steelers will hope to start clawing their way out of the AFC basement when these two teams take the field this afternoon in New England.
