Batista WWE Return 2016 Rumors: 'The Animal' Trolls Stephanie McMahon In Another Sign He May Not Return [VIDEO]

Batista is even "The Animal" on social media.

There has been a lot of speculation on if the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will ever return to the company now that his acting career is taking off. He previously left the WWE in June 2014 to promote "Guardians of the Galaxy."

It was expected that his absence would be a temporary hiatus, but nearly two years later, "The Animal" still hasn't returned to the squared circle.

It seems Batista, whose real name is Dave Bautista, is continuing to distance himself from the WWE. He even went as far as to troll Stephanie McMahon on Twitter.

The on-screen and behind-the-scenes authority figure is in the midst of writing a memoir. McMahon took to Twitter to share a video of her slapping reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and asked fans what her most memorable slap was:

That elicited an interesting response from Batista, who intimated that her slap doesn't get anyone over, she never gets her comeuppance in the storylines from those she slapped and that the act itself doesn't even look good:

It was certainly an interesting response from Batista, considering he's supposed to be close with Triple H and his wife. Perhaps he's still fuming over his stalled push last time he was in the company and frustrated with the state of wrestling these days, topics he hasn't shied away from expressing his disdain over.

Batista's last run with the WWE didn't go as planned, as though he won the Royal Rumble Match in 2014, his subsequent title win at WrestleMania XXX was nixed in favor of the more popular Daniel Bryan winning the gold.

This isn't the first interesting comment Batista has had regarding a McMahon family member.

After Vince McMahon suspended Batista's good friend Titus O'Neil for playfully grabbing him during a serious segment, the boss suspended the WWE Superstar for 90 days, causing him to miss WrestleMania 32.

"The Animal" sounded off on Twitter and revealed he told O'Neil to quit the company. He then also went off on Vince McMahon publicly.

"So not only did he f--k him with the suspension and the fine," Batista told TMZ Sports in February, "but he just double f--ked him by taking WrestleMania away from him, so that's why I said just leave. It's bulls--t. I think he should leave. I think that's one dude who doesn't have to be there, he's there 'cause he loves it."

Given his actions, a WWE return for Batista seems highly doubtful.
