Tim Tebow News: Opens PDQ Restaurant In Jacksonville Hometown [VIDEO]

With no NFL prospects on the immediate horizon, Tim Tebow is set to venture into the restaurant business, opening the first PDQ eatery in his hometown of Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, Tebow is partners in the new operation with his brother, Robby, with both insisting the new venture is largely fueled by their desire and commitment to creating jobs in their hometown.

Described as a "fast-casual restaurant," PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) is slated to officially open on Sunday at the intersection of Hodges and Beach boulevards. Managing partner Todd Allen told Business Journal the company ultimately plans to have 10 to 12 local locations, which could create as many as 500 jobs at the eateries that, which specialize in crispy chicken tenders, handcut fries, salads and chicken sandwiches.

Tebow, who was cut in the preseason by the New England Patriots, is on record in remaining committed to working his way back as a NFL quarterback. To date, he has shunned all suggestions that he either consider changing positions or playing in a lesser league to gain more experience.

The 26-year-old Jacksonville native is already evered across Florida, where he won a Heisman Trophy and led the Gators to two national championships in three seasons.
