Ronda Rousey Boyfriend: Emotional Travis Browne Opens Up About Meeting 'Rowdy' At Right Time [VIDEO]

Travis Browne and Ronda Rousey met at the perfect time in their lives.

Browne, a UFC heavyweight, was embroiled in controversy last July when his ex-wife, Jenna Webb, posted photos on Instagram and claimed he struck her. Browne had remained silent about the ordeal, while the UFC investigated him and eventually reinstated him after discovering the claims were unfounded.

While Browne stayed quiet, several publications wrote about the alleged incident, painting the MMA star in a bad light. Rousey, meanwhile, saw her time on top of the UFC come crashing down when she lost her first fight ever to Holly Holm and dropped the women's bantamweight championship at UFC 193 in November.

The loss shocked the world and left "Rowdy" in a dark place, but she eventually started dating Browne and they both helped each other power through some of their darkest days.

"We were there for each other when we needed it the most," Browne said Tuesday during a UFC 200 media lunch, according to MMAFighting.com. "When we felt like everybody was against us, when everybody was trying to knock us down, we were there for each other."

Rousey went into great detail about having suicidal thoughts following her very public defeat at the hands of Holm back in November. The formerly undefeated MMA star revealed in a gripping interview with Ellen DeGeneres that she only pulled through because of Browne.

"To be honest I looked up and I saw my man was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies I need to stay alive," she said. "Really that was it."

Tuesday marked the first time Browne spoke about Webb's accusations against him, but the toll that people's comments left on him was a large one.

"It was hard to listen, to see what people were saying about me," he said. "But at the same time, I know what I did and what I didn't do. And I was able to sleep at night -- no problem."

Luckily, Browne and Rousey had each other to lean on.
