Johnny Manziel Girlfriend: Colleen Crowley Nets Minor Victory Against Embattled Ex-Boyfriend [VIDEO]

Johnny Manziel is finally being held accountable for his actions ... even if it's only on misdemeanor charges.

The former Browns quarterback was accused by his ex-girlfriend, model Colleen Crowley, twice of physical abuse. In their latest encounter, which took place over multiple cities in Texas on Jan. 29, Crowley alleged Manziel hit her so hard that she lost hearing in her left ear.

A Dallas County Grand Jury indicted Manziel on a misdemeanor assault with bodily injury charge, according to CBS Sports. The reported incident between Crowley and Manziel occurred when the couple was driving from a Dallas bar back home to Fort Worth.

Crowley tried to jump out of the moving car, but Manziel dragged her back into the vehicle and hit her, according to the police report via CBS Sports.

Crowley told the valet at Hotel Zaza, "Please don't let him take me," according to her police report (via CBS Sports), "I'm scared for my life!" Manziel also had an out of court civil settlement with Crowley, but there is no word on what the amount was.

The model has a protective order against the embattled former quarterback and he must stay away from her until Feb. 3, 2018, and can't be within 500 feet of her Fort Worth apartment. Manziel also can't possess a firearm while the court order is in effect and had to pay $12,500 in lawyer fees.

Manziel has been a mess as of late and has had his fair share of difficulty staying away from the party scene. The Browns cut the quarterback in March and amid his issues with Crowley and his failure to land another job, he continued to be found at clubs and drinking rather than facing his issues with alcohol.

Two agents have dumped Manziel in the past few months, the latest being Drew Rosenhaus after the former Heisman Trophy winner was seen "wasted and chain smoking" at Coachella last weekend. Manziel responded with a statement vowing to clean up his act, but was seen out partying yet again.

Recently, Manziel and his partying pals reportedly caused about $32,000 of damage to a home they rented in Los Angeles.

Though Manziel deserves to be held accountable for his actions, the main concern going forward is that Crowley will be able to recover from this tumultuous situation and the quarterback will finally get the help he needs.
