Nikki Bella Return WWE Rumors: Diva May Have Grim News About In-Ring Future [PHOTO, VIDEO]

Nikki Bella may not return to active competition anytime soon -- and when she does, it might not be full-time.

There were reports going around that the longest-reigning WWE Divas Champion in history would return on "Monday Night RAW" this week, but it wasn't the case. Turns out, there's a good reason why.

Bella has been sidelined since October due to a neck injury, which she had surgically repaired in January. There were plans for her to make a comeback on the flagship show this past week to align with her sister Brie and the "Total Divas" team in a non-wrestling role leading into their match with Team Bad & Blonde at WrestleMania 32 this Sunday.

The WWE Diva's appearance was nixed after she paid a visit to her doctors and they advised her not to get into the ring because even an accidental bump could be perilous to her recovery, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Brie will team with Natalya, Alicia Fox, Eva Marie and Paige to battle Naomi, Tamina, Summer Rae, Lana and Emma.

Nikki obviously won't be an active competitor in the match due to her injury, and the report indicates she won't know when she can return until at least July. Even when she does strike a comeback, Bella will reportedly never be able to wrestle full-time ever again.

Though the two-time Divas Champion has remained optimistic in regard to her recovery, she'll have to skip out on WrestleMania 32 this year live from AT&T Stadium in Texas.

It'll likely be her sister's final WrestleMania as it is expected Brie will announce her retirement on the edition of "RAW" following WrestleMania. Brie has made it no secret that she wants to start a family, a process that is all the more possible now that Daniel Bryan retired due to his history with concussions.

As for Nikki's boyfriend, it was expected John Cena would miss WrestleMania 32 as well due to his shoulder injury, but there have been rumors he may actually get involved at the biggest event of the year, which he hasn't missed at all in the last 12 years.

There seems to be grim news regarding Bella's future, but she'll definitely be in town for WrestleMania 32, she revealed on Twitter:
