The Falcons are looking to win consecutive games for the first time this season while the Cardinals will look to avoid a third-straight defeat this afternoon.
The banged up Faclons were able to snap a three-game losing streak by winning 31-23 over the Tampa BAy Buccaneers last week.
"We talked during the bye week, if you had a Falcons logo on your helmet you were expected to step up and make plays," coach Mike Smith told the team's official website. "Whether a young guy, old guy, we all needed to do that, and I thought we did that."
Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan has gone 171-for-244 for 1,922 yards with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions. Jacquizz Rodgers has led the team in rushing yards with 193 on 60 carries with two scores while Julio Jones led the team with 41 receptions for 580 yards with two scores before he got injured.
For the Cardinals, Carson Palmer has gone 161-for-266 (60.5%) for eight touchdowns and 13 interceptions, and he knows he has to play better.
"Everybody needs to step up their game, mainly me being the quarterback -- that's your job," said Palmer per ESPN. "We have to keep growing."
Rashard Mendenhall has been the team's leading rusher while posting 281 yards on 92 carries and reaching the end zone three times, while Larry Fitzgerald has paced the team in receiving with 32 catches for 422 yards and four touchdowns.
Atlanta looks to win back-to-back games for the first time this season while Arizona hopes to avoid its third defeat in a row when these teams square off this afternoon in Arizona.
