EPL Week 29 Scores, Table & Standings: Leicester City Maintain Lead Over Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City

Leicester City maintained their lead over fellow contenders Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for the 2015-16 English Premier League title.

Leicester City, who are the surprising leaders this season, recovered from a slow start to escape with a 1-0 victory against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The Foxes missed several chances in the opening half, but Riyad Mahrez broke the silence in the 56th minute with the first goal of the match, which turned out to be game-winner for Leicester City.

With the victory, the Foxes have now racked up 60 points after 29 matches. They are five points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and eight points ahead of third-placed Arsenal. Arsenal and Tottenham's match on Saturday ended in a 2-2 standoff.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri had nothing but praises for his squad. He quickly added, though, that they need to remain focused if they want to keep their lead and win the title this season.

"We have to fight a lot step-by-step," Ranieri told reporters via the league's official website. "We have to keep our feet on the ground, continue to fight and see what happens. A lot of people stop me and say, 'If we don't win it, we want Leicester to win the title'. There is a good energy behind us."

Manchester City, who have only played 28 games this season, remained fourth in the table with 50 points after scoring a masterful 4-0 win against Aston Villa on Saturday. On the other hand, West Ham United are in fifth place with 49 points, followed by Manchester United with 47 points.
