Ronda Rousey comments about her momentary feelings of suicide after losing to Holly Holm in November certain captured global attention.
They didn't provide any red flags. Maybe they should.

As has been widely reported, Rousey revealed to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that in the minutes after losing her UFC women's bantamweight championship in Australia, thoughts of not wanting to live crossed her mind.
"Honestly, my thought, I was in the medical room and I was down in the corner, and I was like, 'What am I anymore if I'm not this?'" Rousey said. "I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself, and that exact second I'm like, 'I'm nothing. What do I do anymore?' and 'No one gives a (expletive) about me anymore without this.'"

She said those feelings vanished when she spotted boyfriend Travis Browne and realized "I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive."
While Ellen DeGeneres lauded Rousey for her strength in allowing herself to be vulnerable with her disclosure of something so personal, she failed to ask Rousey the logical follow-up question.
What if she loses to Holm again in the rematch?
Rousey likely would've dismissed the question by saying she wasn't thinking about failure, but it's a legitimate question, especially considering Rousey's past.
One of the primary driving factors in Rousey's rise to UFC stardom was borne out of her father's suicide, according to the Australia Herald Sun via People Magazine.
"For some reason I lost my father to suicide at eight years old," the 28-year-old wrote. "I had so much bottled up grief and anger and self-loathing and for some reason I found an outlet that saved me."
If Rousey loses to Holm a second time --- Holm must get past Miesha Tate at UFC 196 next month in Las Vegas before the rematch is even a consideration --- will she be able to deal with the fact that she likely won't recapture her title as well as the fact that she all but certainly will lose her aura as the best female fighter on the planet?
That deserves closer examination by those in her corner before she steps back into the ring with Holm.
