NCAA Tournament Bubble Watch: Boise State Will Miss March Madness Thanks To Blown Call [VIDEO]

Boise State will miss out on March Madness, and they can thank a stopwatch for that.

The Broncos fell to Colorado State in double OT on Wednesday. Well, that's only if you believe the sundial the referees used to time James Webb III's shot in the first OT. The junior buried what appeared to be the game-winner when Boise State inbounded the ball with 0.8 seconds.

The referees, however, determined the shot clock started too late. Timing the play by hand, they also determined that Webb took 1.2 seconds to get the shot off.

You be the judge.

As if being dead wrong wasn't bad enough, official Dave Hall decided to defend his error.

Fortunately -- since we live in a modern world -- there are checks and balances.

The loss has irreparable ramifications for Boise State, who drops to 16-9 on the season. Even worse, the program's RPI dropped to 108th in the country. Prior to tip-off, CBS' Bracketology had the Broncos on the outside looking in.

Wednesday's result did little to help their bleak future.
