Carmelo Anthony Free Agency 2014: Melo Hints He Wants to Stay With Knicks, “I don’t want to go anywhere “ [VIDEO]

New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony is hinting that he wants to stay with the New York Knicks and end his Hall of Fame-bound career in the Big Apple even as speculations continue on whether the talented forward will sign with another team that can give him the best chance to win that elusive NBA title.

"I'm in New York," he was quoted by the NY Daily News. "Like I said, this is not something that I want to keep going on. At the end of the day, I don't want to go anywhere, I don't plan on going anywhere. But when that time comes, I'll deal with that situation."

The Knicks can offer an extension to Anthony in February but the All-Star forward can earn more by waiting for free agency which will start on July 1. If he does re-sign with the Knicks, he stands to get more than $33 million more than what any other team can give him.

But Anthony continues to insist that money is secondary to him and that his foremost concern is winning an NBA title. The All-Star is one of the game's deadliest scorers yet has limited success in the playoffs compared to his 2003 draft compatriots Dwyane Wade and LeBron James. He has never been to the NBA Finals. He has played in one Western Conference Finals with the Denver Nuggets which lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Last year, his Knicks grabbed the #2 seed in the East but fell to the upstart Indiana Pacers in six games in the second round.
