Tim Tebow News: Lip Sync Video May Launch Aspiring QB's Acting Career [VIDEO]

Once Sylvester Stallone decides to hang up his Rocky Balboa character, the remake already has a candidate to assume the role.

Tim Tebow's promo video for his appearance on "Lip Sync Battle" this week is him performing Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger," and it's catching a lot of attention.

Tim Tebow Comparison Not Good For Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott

"Tim Tebow will appear on Lip Sync Battle this Thursday, and a clip released by Spike on Monday has the internet wanting the whole thing right this second," SI.com reported. "Tebow rips off his coat in the middle of passionately performing Survivor's 'Eye of the Tiger.' Needless to say, Tebow definitely won this entire show, even if we don't know the real results yet."

Added NESN.com: "If Tim Tebow could throw a football as well as he lip syncs songs from historic sports movies, maybe he'd still be in the NFL. Tebow decided to lip sync 'Eye of the Tiger,' and he actually did a pretty good job. He also looks enormous, if any NFL teams out there need a fullback or something like that."

Tim Tebow: Idolization Of Pro Sports Is 'Messed Up'

Not everyone was impressed with Tebow's performance.

He can't even pretend to sing," TMZ Sports commented. "But damn ... dude is jacked."

TMZ, however, did infer that Tebow's acting career may just have been created.

"Right from the beginning, Tim abandons the faux vocal part of the show ... instead, spending most of his time flexing ... while Chrissy Teigen fawns over him from the DJ booth. 'Magic Mike 3,' anyone?"

It still seems difficult to believe that at least one team can't figure out how to use Tebow's skills in the NFL. Despite NESN's criticisms, Tebow did show great improvement in his throwing accuracy during the 2015 preseason with the Eagles. And he obviously has stayed in shape.

The league fawned over rugby player Jarryd Hayne's association with the 49ers, and Tebow, who has a tad more experience with football, could be used as a versatile back.
