Not even the dead like Jay Cutler.
The Bears QB was given a personal shout out from Elizabeth Bowman, a lifelong Bears fan who died on Monday, per The Score. As any true Bears fan would, she delivered Cutler a parting shot in her obituary in the Chicago Tribune.
Jay Cutler Would Take Matt Forte Over Adrian Peterson
“Elizabeth Porter Bowman, 78, of Northbrook, Illinois died peacefully January 9, 2016, surrounded by her children. Betsy was an elementary school teacher and later a tutor, but her passion and focus was being a dedicated and involved mother and grandmother. She was a woman of loyalty, integrity, opinion, curiosity and intelligence. A lifelong fan of the Cubs, Blackhawks and Bears (except Jay Cutler).”
Cutler is the only QB to be disrespected in such a manner, but he isn’t the only QB NFL fans love to hate.
Matthew Stafford’s Time In Detroit Running Short
Below are three others, for whatever reason, aren’t well liked.
Matthew Stafford
Matthew Stafford is well over 25,000 passing yards for his career, he’s led the Lions to two playoff appearances since 2011 and Lions fans still can't stand him.
Must have something to do with that 0-2 playoff record.
Tony Romo
Tony Romo can’t win. No, literally. He can’t win.
The Cowboys QB -- who doesn’t have the best winning reputation in the NFL -- is yet to even reach an NFC Championship game. That’s reason enough for Cowboys fans to hate him.
The fact that he’s 2-4 in the playoffs and still the topic of every conversation is reason enough for every other fanbase in the NFL to hate him.
Cam Newton
Call it jealousy, call it racism, call it arrogance, call it whatever you want … people just don’t like Cam Newton.
In a world where people limit themselves to 140 characters, Newton has been the subject of two ridiculous letters written this season.
Just imagine the hate if he actually wins Super Bowl 50.
