Ronda Rousey Rumors: UFC Days Are Numbered For Dana White's Top Fighter [VIDEO]

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey may not be long for the octagon. She was expected to fight Holly Holm in a rematch for the title at UFC 200, but now Holm is fighting ahead of that event at UFC 197 vs. Miesha Tate, and Rousey is off the UFC 200 card altogether, according to Yahoo.

The reason? Production for a “Roadhouse” remake starring Rousey has pushed back, and her film schedule wouldn’t allow her to simultaneously train.

Ronda Rousey Hit With Weirdest Restraining Order Ever

"What that woman has done is above and beyond what anyone has done. I mean, it's just unbelievable what she's done in the last three years. Anything we needed, she didn't say no to anything; said no to nothing. So when she tells me she wants more time, you know what? She's got it,” UFC president Dana White said.

Rousey needing more time could potentially destroy one of the biggest fights available in 2016 though, a Holm-Rousey rematch. Holm is defending her title vs. Miesha Tate in March, and Tate is a legitimate threat to upset her, and take a lot of the steam out of a Holm-Rousey clash.

Holly Holm Doesn't Know If Rousey Even Wants A Rematch

Rousey is not only starring in the new “Roadhouse,” she will be the lead role in a movie based on her autobiography. Her monstrous success in the UFC has made her a legitimate, A-list celebrity, and as more opportunities arise, she’ll have less time to dedicate to the octagon, and even less reason to risk her health and looks taking shots like she did vs. Holm.

Dana White’s best play may be to line up a Holm rematch, and then a super fight vs. Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino as a way to cash out on Rousey, arguably UFC’s greatest success story to date.
