CM Punk UFC Debut Rumors: Mickey Gall Confident In Defeating Former WWE Champion [VIDEO]

Mickey Gall’s name has already been brought out in the open. The realtive unknown, someone UFC President Dana White seemingly bumped into unexpectedly, has a lot of confidence.

Gall made headlines recently, throwing his name in as someone who could possibly be CM Punk’s first official UFC opponent. Punk continues to be on the sidelines after incurring a shoulder injury in late 2015, which has unfortunately placed more question on whether he will ever be seen in the Octagon.

Regardless of when that would be, Gall is prepared to wait. In fact he is oozing with confidence right now and believes that if he does face the 37-year-old former WWE star, it will all end in the first round.

"I finish CM Punk," Gall said when speaking to FOX Sports. "I'm not sure if I knock him out or I submit him, but I think it ends and I think it ends in the first round."

Gall recently made his pro debut and he won via submission in the first round using a rear-naked choke. Apparently he was motivated at the time, being told that White would be around and watching.

Gall wasted no time offering himself as Punk’s opponent, something that caught the UFC president by surprise. But it seems White liked Gall’s approach and his name will likely be on the list of possible Punk opponents.

Though his confidence and statements make him a bit cocky, Gall explains that he does hold high regards for the former WWE Champion.

"I think in MMA, he's stepping into our arena, in my field, what I've been practicing the past seven years of my life," he said. "I respect him. I don't really have anything bad to say about him."
