Kentucky Basketball Rumors: Drake Is The Last Person That Should Be Around John Calipari [VIDEO]

As if you didn’t have reason enough to hate Drake, the rapper was a part of a mild NCAA rules violation for Kentucky basketball … again.

On Oct. 19, 2015, Kentucky self-reported to the NCAA a “Level III violation” involving Drake, per Kentucky.com. The violation was reportedly “preferential treatment” after a concert, where the rapper met with a UK player for three or four minutes.

John Calipari Still Hasn’t Recovered From The Ohio State Loss

As if that wasn’t enough, Tyler Ulis posted a picture of himself with Drake later that night.

Drake’s first violation dates back to the Big Blue Madness event in 2014. He posed for pictures with fans, but more importantly, Kentucky recruit Charles Matthews.

John Calipari Has A Banner He Doesn’t Deserve

The program’s compliance office sent Drake a cease-and-desist letter.

Head coach John Calipari isn’t about that life.

Except Drake shouldn’t be family, especially when Calipari has a history of NCAA violations that vacated wins at UMass and Memphis.

Not to say that Drake is aiding Kentucky basketball in fraudulent entrance exams, but Level III violations can easily be the first step onto a dangerous path.

There’s no need for Calipari to damage a third tenure for an overrated artist who can’t even ball.
