She's flirting off the court and dominating on it. That makes Caroline Wozniacki a dangerous adversary in the upcoming Australian Open.
The one-time top-ranked women's tennis player dominated Alexandra Dulgheru in the quarterfinals of the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, to earn a semifinals appearance against Sloane Stephens.
Offseason Work Has Caroline Wozniacki Shooting For A Major In 2016
"For me, it's always been important to get a few matches at the start of the year and feel like I'm on a roll," Wozniacki said, according to stuff.co.nz. "It was the right decision, in my opinion, that I come here, then take a week off and just settle in Melbourne, and get ready for the Aussie Open."
In her last two matches, the No. 17 player in the world has lost only three games. She recently credited her offseason work in giving her the belief that she can break through with one or more Grand Slam titles in 2016.

And with the top four players in women's tennis -- Serena Williams, Simona Halep, Garbiñe Muguruza and Maria Sharapova -- all pulling out of Australian Open warmup tournaments due to injury, Wozniacki could be one of the most prepared players heading into Melbourne on Jan. 18 for the start of the year's first Grand Slam.
More importantly, Wozniacki seems to be having fun -- the same kind of fun she had in the second half of 2014 when she was running around with Williams off the court and reaching the finals of the U.S. Open before losing to her BFF.
After her second-round win over Christina McHale, New Zealand Warriors rugby player Shaun Johnson feigned being a journalist and attended her post-match news conference, according to the New Zealand Herald.
"One more I have to ask -- on behalf of all male Kiwis in this country and I hope your Dad doesn't come after me after this one," Johnson said. "Can you follow me on Instagram?"
"Are you following me?" asked Wozniacki.
"Are you serious?" Johnson responded.
"Well, as far as I know you came to the player's party to see (Serbian tennis player) Ana Ivanovic; that's a fact."
Whether rumors begin to fly about Johnson and Wozniacki remains to be seen, but her affairs appear to be in order to be considered a favorite to win the Australian Open.
