Rockets guard Ty Lawson, who is in his first season with Houston, hasn't exactly begun well with his new team and it seems more drama is brewing.
This drama has something to do with a controversial Instagram post by Lawson, which had a caption “Let a dude ball out.”
Mitch Kupchak's Declaration About Kobe Has A Lot Of Holes
That post has since been taken down but is still up on his Facebook page.
The sudden deletion from Instagram has sparked some debate. Was it taken down by Lawson voluntarily or because the Rockets told him to do so? Such is the question posed by ESPN.
Jeremy Lin Should Start Praying For Wins
Lawson hasn’t been playing much lately, though he explains the reason behind that is his sore ankle. He is unlikely to suit up against the Jazz on Friday.
While hopes were high that Lawson could provide an added boost to the playmaking shortage the Rockets have, such hasn’t born fruit. Lawson has been dealing with off court issues as well, including a DUI in the offseason.
With Lawson not proving to be a worthy acquisition, trade talks have surfaced. The Rockets claim that they want to keep him, but his reps have already started to look around for possible stops.
On the matter of playing time and whether Lawson will be starting or coming off the bench, all interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff could have to answer is “we’ll see,” according to CBSSports.com.
