No. 25 USC (8-5) and Wisconsin (9-3) will cross paths for just the seventh time on Wednesday, this time at the 2015 Holiday Bowl.
The Badgers have never beaten the Trojans (0-6 all time), but the two haven't met since 1966, when No. 5 USC rolled to a 38-3 victory over an unranked Wisconsin that finished 3-6-1 under Milt Bruhn.
USC Hired Clay Helton Too Soon
Almost four decades later, the playing field has leveled.
Unlike USC, Wisconsin has qualified for a bowl game every season since 2002. The program just hasn't been successful in them, entering Wednesday with a 4-8 record in that span.
The Trojans on the other hand -- despite suffering a postseason ban for two years for lack of institutional control -- have won nine of their last 11 bowl games. They'll look to continue that trend in San Diego.
