Alan Pulido will join a prominent club in the Americas come January, but it's looking more likely to be with Giovani Dos Santos in Los Angeles, not Chivas Guadalajara.
The 24-year-old -- who's looking for an exit from Olympiacos -- is still an option for the Liga MX club, but MLS has stepped up its efforts to acquire him. In addition to the Galaxy, the Red Bulls and Orlando City have also showed interest according to Greek outlet Sport24, per Futbol Total.
Alan Pulido Finally Considering Return To Liga MX
Early reports had a $10 million offer from Chivas rejected by Olympiakos, who were looking for $22 million instead, per Proceso.
A transfer to Los Angeles would see Pulido alongside Dos Santos for the first time since World Cup 2014. Pulido, unable to find minutes in Greece, has fallen out of favor with the Mexican national team.

Dos Santos didn't exactly make friends within the Mexican Federation after leaving Europe for the United States, either. Not that he's losing any sleep over it, especially while he earns $4.1 million annually.
Pulido would demand something in a similar neighborhood.
Fortunately for the Galaxy, the club is amid a salary dump, sending Juninho to Club Tijuana and Omar Gonzalez to Pachuca. The moves allowed them to take more than $2 million off the books.
Club president Chris Klein isn't hiding his eagerness to sign a marquee player in the offseason.
"Nothing has changed, and we're going to be as aggressive as we've ever been heading into 2016," he said, per ESPN FC.
Signing Pulido would be the perfect sign of an aggressive Galaxy team looking to return to the MLS Cup.
