It was quite the wild ride for the MLB this October as the Cubs won a playoff series for the first time in years, the Mets improbably made it to the World Series, the Royals found their way back to the Fall Classic and there were a lot of other crazy bumps along the way.

Here's a look back at the three best games in the 2015 MLB playoffs.

3) Cubs 6, Cardinals 4, NLCS Game 4; Oct. 13

For the first time in the history of Wrigley Field, the Cubs won a playoff series inside the Friendly Confines by defeating the Cardinals to advance to the NLCS for the first time since 2003. The win was highlighted by Kyle Schwarber's massive blast, which landed on top of the scoreboard.

2) Blue Jays 6, Texas 3, ALCS Game 5; Oct. 14

There have been plenty of winner-take-all games throughout MLB history, but there aren't many that lived up to the drama of this clash. Texas seemed poised to win when it took a 3-2 lead on a bizarre play that saw the catcher attempt to throw down to third only to hit the batter standing idly in the box, leading to the go-ahead run scoring. The Rangers then proceeded to make three errors in the bottom half of the inning, leading to the Blue Jays' win.

1) Royals 7, Mets 2, World Series Game 5; Nov. 1

The game was more of a classic than the box score shows, as the Mets seemed poised to send the Fall Classic back to Kansas City on the back of a gem by Matt Harvey. Turns out, Terry Collins sending his ace out for the ninth inning did his club in. After the Royals came within 2-1, Lucas Dudas' throwing error to home allowed the Royals to tie the game at 2 apiece and Kansas City would go on to hammer New York for five runs in the 12th inning en route to its first World Series title since 1985.
