Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant hasn’t been himself in 2015 after breaking his foot in the Cowboys’ opener, and playing most of the rest of the season without QB Tony Romo. But in case anyone is forgetting about Bryant’s freak talent, here’s a reminder.
Bryant has grown since the time this video was taken, which was way back in 2009 when he was still an Oklahoma State Cowboy. But he only got a slight headstart, and had a lead on “Bullet,” the Oklahoma State mascot, for about half the race.

The video is appropriate, because the Cowboys will need Bryant to return to being a horse for his football team. 2015 will be the first time in three years that Bryant doesn’t surpass 1,200 yards receiving or bring in double-digit touchdowns. That was the production Dallas expected when Bryant signed a five-year, $70 million contract this offseason following a prolonged holdout.
Instead of leading the Cowboys to the playoffs, he was mocked for signing that deal after a two-catch effort vs. the Panthers. Cornerback Josh Norman suggested the Cowboys receive a refund on the big contract, and said Bryant’s “disrespect” was “through the roof.”

Norman told reporters "Hey, they need to get Dez's 70 mil back.”
It’s too late for Dallas this year, but next season the Cowboys, healthy, will have a chance to prove that 2015 was a fluke. The key will be Bryant being the workhorse.
