If you needed proof that the Pro Bowl is nothing more than a popularity contest, look no further than Andy Dalton.
The Bengals QB -- despite a 106.3 passer rating -- wasn't voted into the Pro Bowl on Tuesday. Admittedly, Dalton will be on the sidelines with a broken thumb the next few weeks and more than likely would've skipped it, but that's a choice he should've been allowed to make.
Tyler Eifert Asking For Too Much This Holiday Season
He's not alone.
Below are five other Pro Bowl snubs the NFL failed to acknowledge.
John Harbaugh Was Right About The Bengals
Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks
Living on past reputation, Calvin Johnson was named to the Pro Bowl. Doug Baldwin wasn't ... even though he enters Week 16 with 13 TDs to Johnson's seven.

Reshad Jones, S, Dolphins
Nothing is going right for the Dolphins -- who will miss the playoffs for a seventh consecutive season. Reshad Jones' exclusion from the Pro Bowl was just insult to injury.
The Dolphins safety is fifth in the league with 124 tackles and tied for sixth with five INTs.
Allen Robinson, WR, Jaguars
To be fair, no one is paying attention to the Jaguars -- not even Jacksonville -- but Allen Robinson is right up there with Baldwin with 13 TDs.
Drew Brees, QB, Saints
Only Ben Roethlisberger (336.9) is averaging more yards per game than Drew Brees (318.1).
Gary Barnidge, TE, Browns
Gary Barnidge is fourth among TEs with 930 yards and tied for third with nine TDs. Unlike Rob Gronkowski and Tyler Eifert, however, he had to do it with Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer under center.
