A NCAA women's volleyball champion will be crowned on Saturday when No. 3 Texas battles No. 4 Nebraska in the most anticipated rematch of the year.
The two previously met on Sept. 4. The Longhorns defeated the Cornhuskers in five sets, but don't expect a repeat result. At least not according to Nebraska setter Kelly Hunter.
"I think it's not going to be the exact same match up as it was in the beginning of the season," Hunter said, per NCAA. "We both have our game plans that we go with and then there's just a little bit different personnel."
One change in personnel is the absence of Ebony Nwanebu for Texas. The former national Freshman of the Year had 22 kills against Nebraska, but hasn't played since due to injury.
It hasn't been enough to deter head coach Jerritt Elliot's spirits.
"This is the little team that could," Elliott said. "We've got some matchup issues. We've got to be smart, we've got to be good with our serving and get them off the net."
