Wednesday won't just be the final U.S. women's national team game of the year, it'll be the final game of Abby Wambach's illustrious career.
The leading goalscorer in USWNT history will hang her boots after 14 years. Two Olympic gold medals, one World Cup trophy and 184 goals will rest alongside her name. So too will a FIFA World Player of the Year award (2012).
Abby Wambach Burning Bridges In U.S. Soccer
Standing in the way of the perfect sendoff is an experienced China side that were eliminated by the USWNT in the quarterfinals of the 2015 World Cup. The result wasn't much different in Sunday's 2-0 friendly in Arizona.
Wambach and company will look to provide more of the same in the house Drew Brees rebuilt.
