Ninety minutes couldn't separate Toluca and Tigres UANL in the first leg of the Apertura semifinals. After a scoreless draw, both clubs will have 90 minutes to find the goal that would qualify them for the final.
Well, not exactly.

Toluca -- who finished the regular season as the No. 2 seed -- boast the all-important Liguilla tiebreaker. A better regular season record would see the club through with another scoreless draw.
The plot thickens should Tigres UANL find an away goal, for a goal-filled draw of any kind would allow the visitors to return to the Liga MX final.

What They're Saying
Toluca manager Jose Cardozo (via Esto): "A tie [in the first leg] isn't bad. It was a tight game. Home or away, we made the game uncomfortable for our opponents. It's what benefitted us the most. Tigres have great individual players. I think we controlled them over time. The [scoreless draw] leaves us in good condition."
Tigres UANL manager Ricardo Ferretti (via Esto): "We're going [to Toluca] to find our goal. That's our intention. If we don't score, we have no chance of advancing to the final. The requirement is to score at least one goal. One goal will allow us to believe we can play in the next round."
