CM Punk UFC Rumors: Former WWE Superstar Burns Bridge By Supporting MMA Fighter's Crybaby Act [VIDEO]

Rey Mysterio could be burning his bridge with the WWE.

CM Punk walked out on Vince McMahon's organization in January 2014 and has done nothing but bash the company ever since. Last Thanksgiving, the "Best in the World" dropped a few real-life pipe bombs on his friend Colt Cabana's podcast, where he threw dirt on the WWE and explained his departure.

Sting Unlikely For WWE WrestleMania

Punk said he was frustrated with his creative direction and that the WWE's doctor Chris Amann misdiagnosed him on several occasions. Former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, who has had his fair share of problems with the WWE, supported Punk.

"From what happened with his deal, I overheard it," Mysterio told WrestleTalkTV. "I respect his opinion and what he wanted to do and why he wanted to do it. If it's because he was disrespected and wasn't given an answer... and he left because of that, as a man, you have to respect that. You can't be lied to or try to protect certain ideas or projects against you. You deserve to know the truth."

The WWE's Biggest Thanksgiving Disasters

Mysterio may harbor ill will toward the WWE after he had a contract dispute with them earlier this year. The Superstar was looking to move on to AAA in Mexico, but the WWE was trying to keep him under contract.

Though he may be angry, Mysterio publicly supporting Punk, who made the WWE irate with his departure and his comments afterward, could burn his bridge to ever returning to the WWE if he eventually wants to.

After Punk walked out on the company, he signed with the UFC nearly a year later. The former WWE Champion has had his fight pushed back several times, most recently due to injury, but he has vowed to make his MMA debut shortly.

Mysterio is hoping to support Punk whenever that first fight comes.

"I can't wait to see him out there," Mysterio said. "I'm waiting to see when he performs, because I want to be there. I don't want to just support from the house, I want to be there and show support and see him kick ass in the Octagon."

Mysterio may want to see Punk in the Octagon, but neither of them is likely to resurface in the WWE's square circle ever again.
