Jaguars Free Beer: Jacksonville Jags Offer Two Free Beers With Ticket To Week 4 Game Vs. Colts; Still No Tim Tebow? [PHOTO]

The winless Jacksonville Jaguars haven't been desperate to sell tickets enough to sign Tim Tebow, but they have come up with another plan. Knowing that most football fans can't turn away a free cold one, they upped the ante Thursday morning on Twitter by tweeting an offer for two free beers to anyone legally old enough to drink that bought a ticket to Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts (2-1) within the two hour timeframe from the time the tweet was posted.

The 0-3 Jaguars posted the following tweet on the team's official Twitter account Thursday morning in hopes to lure fans into attending the abysmal team's Week 4 game:

USA Today Sports reported that the Jaguars beer prices are somewhere in the middle of the pack out of all of the NFL stadiums, as Jacksonville beers are worth 44 cents per ounce. The marketing scheme comes due to the Jaguars trying to avoid a TV blackout as the NFL's rules indicate that if a game doesn't sell out then it will be blacked out to the fans in the local area.

After a trying season last year, when the team won just two games and went 2-14 while finishing last in the AFC South, it looks as though the Jaguars are headed down a similar path this season with an 0-3 start to the year. After mustering up just two points at home in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs and losing 28-2, Jacksonville lost at Oakland in Week 2 by a 19-9 margin before falling to the Seahawks by a score of 45-17 last week.

While they've increased their points in each outing, the Jaguars haven't been able to get it together offensively, leading to a cry for the team to sign Tebow, who was released by the Patriots in the preseason and hasn't landed an NFL job yet though many outside offers have been presented to him. Tebow recently turned down $1 million to play football in Russia for the Moscow Black Storm for just two games, and he's hoping for another stint in the NFL.

Jacksonville hasn't jumped at the opportunity thus far despite the fact that it could possibly boost ticket sales.

The Jaguars, it would appear, have chosen free beer over Tebow to boost ticket sales.
