Kevin Durant says Derrick Rose "looks better" after recently working out with the Chicago Bulls star as he prepares to return to NBA action after sitting out all of the 2012 season.
Despite being medically cleared by doctors to return to play around mid-season, Rose never took the court and now Durant tells Comcast Chicago his decision "was really good for him."
He later added "he's been looking great. A lot of people criticized him for it and were really upset about him not playing, but it was the best thing for him. I can tell because he looks better."
Even Rose recently boasted to reporters he has added "10 pounds of muscle" and anticipates getting a whole lot more "and ones" this season on his forays to the basket.
"He's the MVP," Durant told Comcast. "He's a high-level player, and if you lose that, of course you're not going to be as good as you were before," he said of last year's Bulls.
"But I think they need the extra push from the offense, and that's what D-Rose brings to the table," he added. "He's so explosive, so great. He's such a great person all around, and I really enjoy watching him play. He's one of the few players I would go pay to see. He's going to make them even better this year."
