Thanksgiving dinner is going to be extremely awkward if Rex Ryan doesn't do his twin brother a solid.
Rob Ryan was fired by the Saints on Monday. The now-former defensive coordinator was charged with a New Orleans defense conceding 293.1 passing yards and a league-worst 31.5 points per game.
NFL Coaches Who Would Knock Out Rex Ryan
Perfect credentials, apparently, for an unemployed coordinator in Buffalo.
"A lot of things have to [happen]," Rex said Tuesday when asked about the potential of working alongside his brother, per NFL.com. "I mean, I'll never say never, that's for sure. We've kind of purposefully set a path going to different teams. He's his own man, I'm my own man, and we've purposefully set that path.
Bills 'Color Rush' Uniforms Still Not The Worst In The NFL
"With that being said, I ain't gonna lie to you -- I think it would be pretty fun."
Tell that to Dennis Thurman, the Bills' current defensive coordinator.
Try telling that to Sean Payton, who was forced to deal with Rob's tantrums on the sidelines.
Imagine the turmoil of two boisterous brothers plaguing Buffalo's sideline.
As entertaining as the thought would be, it remains a thought for now -- and one Rob must consider first.
"If it could help, obviously you consider it," Rex said. "But he would have to consider it as well."
For everyone's sake, Rob, consider it.
