Tiger Woods entered the Tour Championship with previous success at East Lake under his belt and hopes of snagging his fifth tournament win of the year, all but cementing him as the PGA Player of the Year. Not so fast, said Henrik Stenson, after lighting up the course with seven birdies on Day 1 en route to a six-under par start to the tournament. Live stream Day 2 for free by clicking this link.

"It's a nice feeling to hit those kind of shots playing with the world's best player," Stenson said. "Normally it's him who does it to everyone else, but it was kind of nice to throw a couple at him."

Woods wasn't terrible on Day 1, but he wasn't vintage Tiger by any means. He finished the day at three-over par, registering three bogeys and zero birdies. "We know he didn't have the best of days, and he's going to fight hard and try to come back into the tournament. It's still a long way to go, but it's always nice to perform the way I did when you're playing with the world's best player," Stenson said.

Stenson had his phenomenal round while dealing with a sore wrist, while some are speculating Woods' back is acting up on him. One player who said he isn't feeling fatigued is Adam Scott, who is just one stroke behind Stenson after the first day.

"If I tell you I'm feeling tired this year, you can slap me across the face," Scott said. "I've only played 14 tournaments or something. [This is his 16th this year.] I planned that with a reason. There's a lot to play for in these four weeks in the playoffs. You can't just wrap it up after the majors are over, and I wanted to be fresh and ready and I've tried to do the best I can to not stand here and say after an average weekend I'm burned out. There is no excuse."
