Adrian Peterson Update: Vikings RB Believes He Can Play Another Decade [VIDEO]

Adrian Peterson is currently on pace for the fifth-best season by an 30-year-old running back in league history, and despite his age the Vikings star has no plans on hanging up the cleats any time soon.

On a conference call with St. Louis reporters, ESPN reports that Peterson believes he can play another 10 years in the league.

"I think I can play for a long time, but I'm just going to take it one year at a time and see how I feel, because I did enjoy myself, realizing how much I was missing, as far as my kids." Peterson said. "Just doing simple stuff, taking them to school, picking them up, that was fun to me. I missed that. Unfortunately, it's during football season. So that could bring my career to an end earlier than expected."

Peterson currently has 633 rushing yards this season to go along with three touchdowns. He is under contact until 2017, which would take him to the age of 32. According to Peterson, the only thing keeping him from playing is willpower.

"If God's willing, 10 more years." Peterson said. "I'll just be able to walk away from the game at the highest level whenever I decide."

After missing most of last season due to charges of child injury, Peterson has come back strong and with a new lease on life. If he wants to keep playing for years to come, then the former MVP will do just that.
