Jason Pierre-Paul won’t have to wait much longer, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

The DE practiced with the regular defense on Wednesday. Ahead of schedule, the Giants are following through on the plan to get him ready for Sunday’s battle with the Buccaneers.

For Pierre-Paul, that means an extra week to make up for lost millions.

Eli Manning Will End Another Undefeated Patriots Season

The 26-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Giants last Tuesday. It guaranteed $1.5 million and will balloon past $3 million if he’s on the game-day active roster for each of the final seven games of the season.

The real fun begins in the remaining incentives.

In order to receive the full $8.71 million of his incentive-based contract, per Spotrac, Pierre-Paul would need to be on the active roster for each of the final seven games and play 80 percent of the defensive snaps while recording at least 7.5 sacks.

Hardly unlikely for a player with a damaged right hand.

The alternative, however, is being on the active roster and recording 10 sacks regardless of playing time.

Admittedly, 10 sacks in eight games is a stretch, but an extra game in his pocket is the only way to ensure extra money follows it.
