Gilbert Arenas To Los Angeles? Clippers Invite 'Agent Zero' To Training Camp? [VIDEO]

The Los Angeles Clippers may extend Gilbert Arenas an invite to training camp later this month, according to HoopsWorld.com.

Arenas, who last played in the NBA for the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2011-12 season, has openly campaigned for another shot in the league after spending the last several years playing abroad.

The website reports the Clippers currently have 13 players with guaranteed contracts, but have been so impressed by Arenas during informal workouts this summer they've openly expressed interest in working out a deal with him.

Known as "Agent Zero," Arenas was one of the league's most charismatic stars before being suspended for most of the 2009-10 after admitting he brought guns in the Washington Wizards locker room at the height of an ongoing dispute with teammate Javaris Crittenton  over unpaid gambling debts.

Arenas was ultimately convicted of several gun violations stemming from the incident and sentenced to two years probation and 30 days in a halfway house. He has since played for the Wizards, Magic and Grizzlies, but at nowhere near the level he was performing before the incident.

Still, the Clippers, who recently severed ties with troubled forward Lamar Odom, seem to think he has something to add to a second unit rotation that already includes Jamal Crawford, Antawn Jamison, Darren Collison and J.J. Redick.
