It hasn’t resulted in a victory yet, but Jeremy Lin has found a home in Charlotte.
The 27-year-old had a mediocre finish to his tenure in New York. He followed that up with awkward showings in Houston and Los Angeles, seeing his minutes per game drop in three consecutive seasons.
Jeremy Lin Dazzles Off The Bench
Slowly but surely, he’s bucking that trend with the Hornets.
Lin played 27 minutes in Friday’s 97-94 loss to the Hawks, much like he did in Wednesday’s 104-94 loss to the Heat.
Playoffs Or Bust For Jeremy Lin In Charlotte
The productivity, however, is ever present. His teammate Marvin Williams attributes it to his humble attitude.
"He's a humble, humble dude, and I mean that," he said, per NBA.com. “When we went to China ... I've never seen anything like that. It was literally the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen. When we landed and the door opened there were instantly people rushing onto the place with cameras trying to find him. It was crazy. And he stopped and took pictures with everybody and signed everything, everywhere we went.
“He's always talking about how blessed he is and how fortunate he is, so you know he doesn't take any of this for granted. The thing I love about him is that he works hard and he loves to play this game, and at the end of the day, that's what makes it so cool to be around him."
Lin finished with 12 points and a plus-three in Friday’s loss. He returns to the court on Sunday to face the Hawks.
