Roman Reigns WWE Rumors: Superstar Still Not Ready To Take Belt From Seth Rollins [VIDEO]

The Roman Empire could net the richest prize in the WWE, but it probably isn't Roman Reigns' time to shine.

7 Superstars Who Could Team With Undertaker At Survivor Series

The 2015 Royal Rumble Match winner became the No. 1 contender on RAW this past Monday and will face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at a later date. The WWE hasn't yet announced when the match will take place, but a safe bet would be the Survivor Series on Nov. 22 from the Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Reigns may finally be crowned when he gets his hands on his former Shield stablemate, but perhaps he shouldn't win the gold just yet for many reasons.

1) Rollins is Rollin'

Even before he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, "The Architect" was carrying the WWE on his back in the absence of its then-champion, part-time performer Brock Lesnar. 2014 was a great year for Rollins and he was rewarded for putting on quality matches by winning the gold at the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 31 when 2015 rolled around.

Rollins hasn't been booked strong as champion and feuds with older wrestlers in Sting and Kane didn't help, but at least he defeated them to gain some momentum. He should be rewarded with a year-long title reign and should defeat his former Hounds of Justice partner to further establish himself.

2) Reigns Isn't Ready

The WWE tried to rush Reigns' big push in the past before he was ready, but it just wasn't his time. The WWE Universe rejected him and the company opted to scratch its reported plans to crown him at the "Show of Shows" in favor of Rollins cashing in to win the title.

Reigns has improved greatly in the last few months, having some great singles bouts -- including his Hell in a Cell clash with Wyatt -- and making strides on the microphone. Though he's improved, he could use some more seasoning and the WWE should wait until he's fully ready to carry the company before thrusting the belt onto him.

3) Building A Star

The WWE seems to have forgotten what it takes to build a huge star. Perhaps there's fear that no one is ready to take the ball from John Cena when he calls it a career, but for some reason the WWE has had issues with hot-shotting the World Championship on stars before they're ready. Guys like Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus have all won World Titles only to then be feuding over midcard titles, which seems like something that should be beneath them after winning the big prize.

Stars such as Bret Hart, Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Cena and countless others won midcard titles, got over organically, and then won the World Championship. Reigns has won one title during his tenure with the company and that's the Tag Team Championship, so he's never had a singles belt to his name. Maybe the WWE should have him win the Intercontinental or U.S. Championship, establish himself with those belts, and then move to the main event and stay there.

Then and only then, the Roman Empire can be ushered in.
