Louisville Sex Scandal: Andre McGee Quits Post AT UMKC [VIDEO]

Andre McGee, the figure that has been put on the hot seat for the sex scandal at the University of St. Louis has officially resigned from his post as assistant coach for the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

McGee was put on the spot ever since Katina Powell identified him as the mastermind of the celebrated scandal. According to Powell, McGee paid for the strippers to attend parties at the dorm of the team players from 2010-14.

Strippers went as far as going naked with one of the unnamed former players, whine ven had sex with one of the strippers. Powell claims she was paid $10,000 to supply the dancers, which does not include ‘side deals’. Powell details it all in a book published by Powell and Dick Cady titled “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen”.

According to CNN however, McGee’s decision to resign was because he could not carry out his duties full-time. McGee has been on paid administrative leave since Oct. 2 and has denied any involvement in the claims.

UMKC officials declined to comment on McGee’s resignation, choosing to do so once the ongoing investigations have been completed.

Aside from McGee, Rick Pitino is also in hot water since he is the one in charge of the basketball program.

Pitino has denied any knowledge of the scandal and adds that he believes that he is still the right man for the Cardinals basketball program.
