Felony robbery charges against former Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck were dropped during an early-morning court appearance on Friday, according to the The Tennesseen.
Bulluck, 36, was arrested on the night of Aug. 25 after cab driver Habib Hashi told police the former NFL star grabbed him by the shirt and snatched a $100 bill from him after asking for a ride outside an area nightclub known as a gay hangout.
According to multiple news reports, the driver also told police he was waiting on a fare who had already paid when Bulluck approached him. Police later located Bulluck across the street, where the driver positively identified him as the man who allegedly had attacked him.
"I've been here for 10 years and this is what you want to talk about?" Bulluck said to inquiring reporters camped outside the jail after he was released. Bulluck had been part of the broadcast crew for the Titans preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons earlier that night.
Authorities said Bulluck, who played ten seasons with the Titans, may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Hashi, 39, has a 1999 conviction for filing a false accident report, according to The Tennessean.
