Jeremy Lin NBA Rumors: Hornets Star Wanted To Return To Knicks [VIDEO]

Jeremy Lin continues to dazzle in the NBA preseason which is seen as a good sign of things to come for the Hornets.

Lin is trying to bounce back from a forgettable season with the Lakers and so far, he has been showing promise.

In the NBA offseason, Lin surprisingly drew a lot of interest from several teams who were looking to fill up their guard spots.

The list of teams that were mentioned as interested in Lin included the Warriors, Suns, Rockets, Nuggets, Mavericks and the Knicks, but the Asian American ended up joining the Hornets where he seems to be pretty much happy.

Of the teams mentioned, New York would have been another interesting destination only that their were conflicting reports about the Knicks, as the team may not have been as interested in a reunion with Lin as previous reports determined.

Lin’s agent claims that he reached out to the Knicks for a possible comeback for his client, but apparently the Knicks were not into a return. There were no further talks and Lin's agent moved on.

It would have been a grand return for Lin who broke out in the Big Apple in 2011. While the team wanted to re-sign the former Harvard University standout, Lin opted to join the Rockets, who offered him a rich $25 million deal.

Lin had be open to a return to his former ballclub though it seems that the Knicks were not interested in getting him.

Of course the scenario could change in the future, especially if Lin continues his amazing showcase for the regular season. For now, his main concern is to contribute and help the Hornets and from the looks of it, he is doing just that and perhaps more.
