UFC 195 News: Tyron Woodley To Get Title Shot? [VIDEO]

What lies ahead for Tyron Woodley?

Woodley finds himself in the doldrums after the sudden cancellation of his tiff with Johny Hendricks on account after the latter had to be rushed to the emergency room following a blockage of his intestine. The fight was officially withdrawn by UFC President Dana White via Twitter.

Hendricks was apparently having weight-cut issues and it seemed that he wasn’t able to do so successfully. And for that, Woodley is not happy. He believes that Hendricks should be held accountable for his shortcomings and hence be handed a loss.

"I'm frustrated, obviously," Woodley told MMAFighting.com. "I'm always trying to look for the lesson in things and positive signs. I believe things happen for a reason.

It didn’t take long however for Woodley’s case to be heard and apparently he will be fairly compensated despite the fact the match didn’t really take place.

As it turns out, Woodley will get a title shot after all and it will be against the winner of the Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit fight, which will happen at UFC 195 on Jan. 2, 2016 in Las Vegas. The news was first reported by Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.

Of the two protagonists, Woodley has faced Condit before. In fact, Condit was one of the opponents he beat during his last five fights. Other than Condit, Woodley also boasts wins against Kelvin Gastelum and Dong Hyun Kim, whom he defeated in his previous two fights.

Could this opportunity make up for the lost one he had originally scheduled for UFC 192? From the looks of it, Woodley seemed to have come out technically victorious either way against Hendricks after all.
