Since breaking into the WWE in November 2012, there's been a lot of mystery surrounding Roman Reigns.
Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns Prediction
The leader of the Roman Empire has shown a mean streak in the ring, but he can be an open book outside of the squared circle. In interviews, Reigns often gives insight into who he really is and what the grinding lifestyle of a WWE Superstar is like.
Here are five things you may not have known about the 2015 Royal Rumble winner.
Seth Rollins Should Hold WWE Championship 'Til WrestleMania
1) His Sleeves Took 17 Hours
The tattooed tough guy has plenty of ink -- and it took a long time to get it onto his body. Reigns appeared on WWE Superstar Ink and revealed the grueling process of getting tatted up.
"[The top piece] was about five or six [hours]." Reigns told Corey Graves, pointing at his arm. "Then we did the outside one night and the following morning. On the second day, by the time I got to 6 1/2, 7 hours, it was almost like a competition. ...I felt challenged."
In the end, it took 17 hours for Reigns to get inked up with his tribal tattoo.
2) Prefers Working Solo
Though he enjoyed his time with The Shield and his "bromance" with Ambrose, Reigns likes being a singles star.
"You know it's tough," he said on "The Buzz with Jimmy Trina" podcast. "I enjoy what I'm doing now. I enjoy being a singles guy. I enjoy commanding the stage with myself and with my opponent. It's a different process when you have teammates."
3) Didn't Know Rollins Was Turning Heel
Reigns told Traina that he wasn't aware of The Shield being broken up -- or Seth Rollins turning heel -- until the day it happened.
"When we broke up, we were all so tight," Reigns said. "It was such an abrupt ending. [We found out] the day of. ...We were on all cylinders, we just beat Evolution for the second time in a hell of a six-man match. ...The move was made to create three individual stars and in hindsight, it seems to have worked."
4) He's Late To Arenas
Reigns isn't superman when it comes to time. The Superstar revealed in his interview with Traina that with the crazy schedule the WWE has him on, he's late to arenas a lot and doesn't make it to the live RAW at the 2 p.m. call time very frequently.
"You're gonna make me stooge on myself," Reigns told Traina. "I'm not the most punctual guy. I come a bit late in my arrival to these things."
5) New Day Rocks
The New Day's trademark is "New Day Rocks," and Reigns agrees, as he praised their act to Traina.
"Though I've beaten some of their asses the last few weeks, I enjoy watching them," Reigns said. "You can tell they're having fun."
