Ronda Rousey News: Holly Holm Fight To Shatter UFC Attendance Record [VIDEO]

Ronda Rousey is making a mockery of gender equality in the UFC.

Rousey's next fight against former women's boxing champion Holly Holm on Nov. 14 is expected to break the record for attendance of a mixed martial arts fight, Australia's Herald Sun is reporting.

The current record stands 55,724 for an Ultimate Fighting Championship event four years ago at UFC 129 at the Rogers Center in Toronto between Georges St. Pierre and Jake Shields for St. Pierre's welterweight title -- the champion retained the belt in a unanimous decision.

The Rousey-Holm fight that highlights UFC 193 went on sale Sunday in Melbourne, Australia sold out Etihad Stadium that same day. The stadium's capacity is listed at 53,359.

However, ground seating that will be set up for the event is expected to bring the capacity to 70,000, the Herald Sun reports, and that would smash the current attendance record.

Rousey already is the highest-compensated fighter in the UFC, Fortune reports.

In a recent interview with Fortune, UFC spokesperson Dave Sholler broadly discussed the bantamweight's financial success.

"Rousey is currently making more in UFC compensation than any other current champion. She is the leader in the clubhouse," Sholler said. However, the UFC would not disclose any further information on Rousey's contract to Fortune.

"It's largely because we're a private company, but also because many of our athletes don't want their salaries disclosed," said Sholler.

Huffington Post reported that Rousey already is lamenting not having enough time in Australia to spend on tourist attractions because of the Holm fight.

"I wish I had a chance do some more touristy things," Rousey said of her travels. "After I beat Holly, I will have some time."
