The Seattle stalemate with Kam Chancellor continues. And the Seahawks keep losing.
The two-time defending NFC champion Seahawks have not spoken to their star strong safety in more than a week, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport tweeted.

The silent treatment could be due to the fact that Seattle management has the full backing of owner Paul Allen in its stance with the player's holdout, NFL.com reported, citing Rapoport.
General manager John "Schneider has the backing of owner Paul Allen, a typically hands-off owner who has 'been informed of every single development and is standing behind GM John Schneider's stance,' NFL.com reported.
"From the outside looking in, this seems like a battle the Seahawks expect to win. Chancellor is losing money, after all. As of this Sunday, lost wages and fines will have exceeded $2 million."

The clock on Chancellor's years of service tally also is ticking, SI.com noted.
"As for Chancellor, we can only guess what he'd look like on the field, and that particular holdout looks to last a while," SI.com reported. "Chancellor will have to report before Week 10 (if he doesn't, he'll lose an accrued season) but there's no concept on the team's part what kind of football shape he'll be in, and how quickly he'll be able to help the club."
But the Seahawks defense clearly are missing Chancellor's ability, having given up 61 points (although seven came on a Rams punt return in Week 1). They are 0-2 for the first time since 2011 and could be in danger of missing the playoffs.
Still, ESPN analyst Bill Polian, a former Colts general manager, told SI.com he doesn't think the Seahawks will budge.
"We did exactly what John Schneider is doing," Polian said. "You can't acquiesce to a holdout, because if you acquiesce to one, you'll have 50. The bottom line is, it has to get done in a way that is satisfactory to the club, and you don't acquiesce to a holdout. No matter who the player may be. Now, sooner or later, these things have a way of getting done, and you've got to keep the lines of communication open. John's doing that, and sooner or later, it'll get settled. But you've got to do it on your terms."
