It wasn't a 61, but Jason Day's 2-under 69 was enough to extend his lead at the BMW Championship on Saturday. The 27-year-old is now six strokes ahead of the pace.

Twelve strokes behind, Hunter Mahan did little to keep his ironman streak alive. The 33-year-old is the only PGA Tour member to advance to the Tour Championship every year since the FedEx Cup's inception (2007). Ranked No. 52 on points, that looks to no longer be the case.
He'll need to surge up the leaderboard on Sunday -- finishing tied for fourth or better -- if he hopes to extend his streak another year.
"I'm going to have to be aggressive," he said, per Golf Channel. "I'm going to have to make birdies and have a good round and play well and maybe force it down the stretch a little bit. I either make it or go home."
Mahan's chances are within reach. Only five strokes separate him from Rory McIlroy in fourth.
