What They're Saying
BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall on the importance of today's game, per The Salt Lake Tribune: "I think we could make it as big, or not as big, as possible. I think everyone knows my stance. I try to coach our team hard every single game. Our players try to play hard every single game. Yeah, it is fun if other teams are ranked, and it is fun if both teams are good. But to make more of it than that, gosh, that would just be a distraction."
UCLA head coach Jim Mora on the progression of QB Josh Rosen, per Orange County Register: "He's the first guy to recognize when he doesn't get it exactly right, which I've said many times is the most impressive thing about him. Obviously we see the skill, but what people who aren't on the sideline don't see is the way he reacts when it's not going exactly right."
Performance To Examine
Things have the potential of going "exactly right" for Rosen on Saturday. The Cougars have already yielded 616 yards passing in their first two games, opening the door for Rosen to build on his 142.1 QB rating.
