The 2015 Rugby World Cup gets under way on Friday, seeing England battle Fiji at London’s famed Twickenham Stadium. A free live stream of the contest scheduled for 3 p.m. ET can be found here. Additional TV coverage can be found on Universal Sports.
England have played 224 tests in the professional era since 1995. Nearly half (110) were at the “Fortress Twickenham,” where they averaged 31.6 points.
Head coach Stuart Lancaster hopes it provides an advantage on Friday.
“It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play a World Cup at home in England,” Lancaster said, per the Telegraph. “The energy a crowd can give the team is huge and it makes it doubly difficult for the opposition.
“The energy can feel that the country is behind them. It has to be an extra level of motivation. We are not as front foot as we should be in our pride at being English.”
