Dolph Ziggler Naked: 'Showoff's' Near Slip On 'RAW' Start Of Recent Trend [VIDEO]

Dolph Ziggler's near-exposure this week on Monday Night RAW could be part of an ongoing trend on television and within the WWE.

The WWE is a PG-oriented company and has taken steps to part ways from its previous image of being a raunchy, adult audience-driven company. Monday Night RAW and SmackDown have cleaned up their acts over the years, but a segment on this past week's show had an Attitude Era-esque feel to it.

Making it seem like more of a trend was the fact that it aired just one day after Miley Cyrus had a wardrobe malfunction at the MTV Video Music Awards.

There was a scene on RAW where Lana got upset after Summer Rae saw Ziggler naked in the shower. The issue led to Ziggler coming out of his dressing room with a towel on, exposing his very white guy thigh and almost much more.

This issue was recently (and entertainingly) discussed on "The Corner Podcast" as the two hosts, Andreas Hale and Kel Dansby, spoke about the segment and how unnecessary it all seemed. One of the hosts referred to "The Showoff" as "Dolph Diggler" while the other one was confused as to why it happened.

"Dolph Ziggler almost flashed the whole damn crowd," one of the hosts said. "Like, his towel is almost to mid-thigh, I'm like, 'What are you doing my man?' It's a whole weird dynamic they have going on with him, Rusev and Lana."

Ziggler and Lana have been involved in an odd feud with Summer Rae and Rusev that resembles more of a soap opera than a wrestling angle. The near-nudity was the latest step in the angle and it could all be leading to a mixed tag team match between the foursome.

While it looks like the issue may have been just a rare edgy dip into the storylines rather than a full-scale revolt back to the old Attitude Era days, it was still interesting to see near-nudity on WWE television.

The angle between the four is likely to continue for a few months, but one of the hosts offered his solution to the problem.

"Dolph just needs to bone 'em both and we need to go back to the Attitude Era," he said.
