IK Enemkpali’s 15 minutes of fame are reportedly up. The man famously known for sucker punching Geno Smith was released by the Bills on Friday, per Ian Rapoport.

Tyrod Taylor’s face will be safe for the season.

Not two weeks ago, Rex Ryan vouched for the 24-year-old. The Bills head coach had zero doubts Enemkpali’s checkered past would negatively impact his locker room.

"That's not a worry," Ryan said, per ESPN. "I think this is an isolated thing. I think I have a great locker room here, so I don't think anything like that would happen. I'm sure the Jets feel the same.

Enemkpali was expected to push for a backup job to Jerry Hughes. In his four preseason games with the Bills, he finished with just eight solo tackles. Two came in his only start, a 17-10 loss to the Lions on Thursday.
