A day after Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady were spotted in New York City hand-in-hand comes a report that the supermodel threatened her husband with divorce.
A source to the Patriots quarterback said Bundchen recently consulted a divorce lawyer as a result of heated spats between the couple, US Weekly reported.
Tom Brady Was Open To Idea Of Accepting One-Game Suspension
"Tom thinks it's only a threat," says the insider. "But this is definitely a rough patch."
Another source close to the couple adds that "Tom's become very nasty and irritable and started acting out on her. Things are very tense right now. This could be the end of them."
Sources Close To Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen Refute Marital Problems
Brady is awaiting a court decision of his appeal of a four-game suspension handed down by the NFL for his role in Deflategate during New England's 45-7 over Indianapolis in the AFC Championship Game way back on Jan. 18.
A day earlier, Brady and Bundchen "appeared to be a united front as they were photographed leaving an office building and getting into a truck" in New York, People magazine reported.
The magazine also quoted a source saying that Brady, 38, and Bundchen, 35, are "living their life, and they're doing great.
"She's being a supportive wife," the source said of Bundchen. "Just like anybody whose husband would be going through something like this."
The couple has been married 6 ½ years and has two kids together. However, OK Magazine first reported that the relationship was strained last month with an anonymous source saying, "Things between Tom and Gisele have been strained for a long time ... they've been plagued by the same problem (for years)."
That report, however, said the couple reached a boiling point during an argument on Brady's birthday. US Weekly reiterated earlier reports that the couple did not celebrate their summer birthdays together.
