Two of the game's cornerstones under center will square off on Saturday when Tom Brady and Drew Brees meet in New Orleans. The Saints and Patriots both failed to emerge victorious in preseason Week 1. New England squandered 22-11 at Gillette Stadium to the Packers, while the Saints fell short 30-27 in Baltimore.

Position Battles To Watch
Patriots: The preseason opener saw a New England offensive line that had zero career NFL starts. Tackles Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer are healthy and might return to the gridiron, but it's the center position that remains a concern for the Patriots. Undrafted rookie David Andrews will likely give way to Josh Kline on Saturday.
Tyrod Taylor Makes Strong Bid To Start For Bills
Saints: The WR position is crowding in New Orleans. Marques Colston, Kenny Stills and Brandin Cooks remain virtual locks under head coach Sean Payton. Robert Meachem and Joe Morgan appear to be the other two the team will carry, mounting pressure on Nick Toon in Week 2.
Performance To Examine
Jimmy Garoppolo was poor in New England's first bit of competition this preseason. The second-year QB finished 20-of-30 for 159 yards and one INT. His inability to follow his progressions left him amid the grasps of opposing defenders numerous times on the evening. He'll look to improve his deep ball and execute better with his anticipated extended play.
